Dog and Cat Portrait Photo Guidelines

For best results:

  • Take the photo at eye level to your pet in a well lit room
  • Try to make sure your pets face isn't covered in dark shadows, especially the area around the eyes
  • Arrange for your pet to sit or stand still to help reduce blurring
  • Avoid photos that are too close or too far away. Ideal distance away is about 3-5 feet.
  • Make sure the dog or cats full face and ears are in the photo.

House Portrait Photo Guidelines

For best results:

  • Take the picture in good sun light to avoid a dull looking photo
  • Be aware of areas covered in dark shadows that will hide detail and consider the best time of day to take the photo to maximise visibility
  • Remove unwanted moveable objects like wheelie bins before taking the photo
  • Make sure to get the full house in the picture, including the chimney if you have one
